Mirrealm Docking Station Compatibility Points - As USB-C becomes more widespread, some differences still exist among these three USB C ports:

• Thunderbolt 3: Supports a max of 40Gb/s bandwidth, which also supports DisplayPort / Alternate Mode, data transfer, and charging (This supports three monitors).
• USB-C 3.1 Gen 2: Supports a max of 10Gb/s bandwidth, which may support DisplayPort / Alternate Mode (Supports two or three monitors).
• USB-C 3.1 Gen 1: Supports at max 5Gb/s bandwidth, which may support DisplayPort / Alternate Mode (Supports one monitor only).

1. Make sure your laptop has a USB Type-C (Gen 2) / Thunderbolt 3 port and supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode.

2. There are compatible and Incompatible devices. Here is a short list:

Compatible with Dell XPS 13/15, Dell Latitude/Precision; HP Spectre x360/ZBook; Lenovo Yoga / ThinkPad X1 Carbon / X1 Extreme; MSI GS65 /GS75; MacBook; Huawei; Razer Blade Stealth; Alienware 13/15/17; iPad Pro (only for iOS 13.0 and up)

Incompatible with laptops that do not have a USB-C port such as: Many in the Acer series, Apple USB SuperDrive, Surface Laptop 3, Nintendo Switch.

3. Display issues: Mac OS laptop ( Apple Laptop ), the non-mirror mode can only support three duplicate (mirror), external monitors, due to Apple system restrictions. However, your laptop screen can be different images from 3 external monitors.

4. Make sure to plug in the Laptop's power adapter to the USB-C Power Delivery port before connecting an external hard drive or multiple devices.

5. Resolution Problems: If you connect to the VGA port, the resolution of all monitors will be limited to 1920 x 1080@60Hz (maximum). When you connect three monitors, the monitor screen resolutions may be lower than 1920 x 1080@60Hz (depending on the monitor and bandwidth).

Compatible Monitors: Supports a single or duplicate HDMI display up to 3840 x 2160@30Hz for MacBook. A single HDMI display up to 3840 x 2160@30Hz. Three 1920 x 1080 displays @60Hz for Windows Laptops.

Compatible Chargers: Supports a Power Supply with a max of 100W (Due to the hub’s Self-consumption, please use a higher work-rate charger via the PD port or plug the original charger directly to your laptop).

Please Note: The included USB adapter is 3.0 and will not support video output. It does not support HDMI. If the adapter is used for charging or data transfer, the video output/HDMI will be disabled.

1. With EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) communication, once you plug the monitors, the screen may black out for a few seconds. The recovery time depends on the and monitor (1 minute is the max).

2. The HDMI-DisplayPort cable can only support the transfer of a DisplayPort signal to an HDMI signal and will not support an HDMI to DisplayPort signal.
